Size and Shape

Standard dining table height may vary between 28–30 inches (71–76 cm) from the ground to table top surface. Some older tables tend to be lower, around 28–29 inches while Formal dining tables tend to always be closer to 30 inches.

That means your seat height needs to be within the range of 17-19 inches.  11″-12″ is the standard distance between top of table and top of seat.
