It’s just two blocks from the house and only four blocks from our new shop. So what better place than Old Colorado City‘s 38th Annual Territory Days to introduce Colorado Rock*N Logs Waldo Canyon Collection ~ From disaster to Design…
Can you believe it? Another cool Colorado Winter has already come and gone. But here at Colorado Rock*N Logs and LogFurnitureHowTo[dot]com, we are ready for Summertime, and all the fun filled festivals that come along with it!
Just like the past two years, we will be kicking off our Summer festivities right here in our own backyard at Old Colorado City’s 38th Annual Territory Days street festival.
And this year we are proud to introduce Waldo Canyon Collection ~ from disaster to design. With a portion of proceeds benefiting two great local causes. Colorado Springs Together and Waldo Canyon Firefighters Fund.
What is Territory Days?
Back in 1975, Territory Days began as the “Rampart Range Sertoma Territory Days Parade and Buffalo Barbecue”. But in 1976 the named was changed to Territory Days to commemorate Old Colorado City as the first capitol of the Colorado Territory in 1861.
Since then, Territory Days has grown from a small neighborhood craft fair into a three-day street festival which now hosts over 180 craft, commercial and food booths. Between 80,000 and 140,000 guests, (depending on the weather), enjoy this event every Memorial weekend.
It’s FUN for the whole Family!
This Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 -27, the historic district on Colorado Avenue between 23rd Street and 27th Street will come alive with live music, food, fun and entertainment for the entire family.
One of Colorado’s largest craft vendor fairs is highlighted with features including pony rides, kids play area, petting zoo, mechanical bull, Cowboy Church Service, toy train rides, gold panning, wild west gunfight re-enactments, live blacksmithing, period costumed characters, live birds of prey, native American dancers, quick draw competition, and two beer gardens with live music running all three days.
